Warranty
ENGINE WAREHOUSE OF BATON ROUGE, LLC INSTALLS WARRANTY
All rebuilt/remanufactured engines installed by Engine Warehouse of Baton Rouge, L.L.C., are warranted against defects in workmanship and materials for 12/36 months or 12,000/36,000/100,000 miles, (whichever occurs first) from date of purchase in passenger cars and trucks; with One Year Labor Warranty only. Low Mileage installed Import replacement engines are warranted for 12 months or 12,000 miles (whichever occurs first). Commercial, Four Wheel Drive, RV’s, or ¾ Ton Trucks and over installed engines are warranted for 6 months or 6,000 miles. There are NO Warranties on High Performance engines or Boat engines. All Warranty information noted herein, are NON-TRANSFERABLE.
Conditions of Warranty
The warranty applies to the entire product sold by Engine Warehouse but does not apply to any damage or failure caused by MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL FAILURE of parts or units not furnished by Engine Warehouse as part of the engine assembly, including, without limitation, the electric fan or sensors, computer, air cleaner, distributor, fuel pump, radiator, thermostat, fan belt, radiator hoses, water pump, etc. Warranty does not apply to engines that are abused, over heated, improperly broken in, or used for purposes other than that which unit was originally designed or has been altered or modified with addition of high performance racing type equipment. All engines are tagged with temperature indicators or heat tabs. Warranty will be voided, if temperature indicators have exceeded “240 degrees”, or, if heat tabs have melted and/or are missing.
Carryout Warranty
All engines rebuilt/remanufactured sold by E.W. of B.R. are warranted against defects in workmanship and material for 12 months, 12000 miles on complete units, and 6 months or 6,000 miles on short blocks, from date of purchase in passenger cars and trucks, or for a period of 120 days or 4,000 miles (whichever occurs first), in four wheel drives, R.V. or truck, ¾ ton and over. NO Warranties on High Performance engines or Boat engines.
Conditions of Warranty
At time of installation of the rebuilt/remanufactured engine, new Lifters and Oil Pump MUST Be installed. The warranty applies to the entire product sold by E.W. of B.R., but does not apply to any DAMAGE or failure caused by MECHANICAL OR ELECTRICAL FAILURE of parts or units not furnished by E.W. of B.R. as part of the engine assembly, including, without limitation, the electric fan or sensors, computer, air cleaner, distributor, fuel pump, radiator, thermostat, fan belt, radiator hose, water pump, etc. Warranty does not apply to engines that are abused, over heated, improperly broken in, or used for purposes other than that which unit was originally designed or has been altered or modified with addition of high performance racing type equipment. All engines are tagged with temperature indicators or heat tabs. Warranty will be voided, if temperature indicators have exceeded “240 degrees”, or, if heat tabs have melted and damaged resulting from preignition or detonation is not covered by this warranty.
